Front Suspension:
Double Control Arm suspensions offer the highest performance possible for On or Off-road applications; this is why we choose to only use this type of design for our suspension systems that are going to be used for high-speed desert terrain.
Obviously, the factories do not intend for their vehicles to be used to run through deserts at a 100+mph or jump 100+ ft through the air, so there are major improvements that need to be made to equip a vehicle for this type of abuse. It is not as simple as adding track width and a big shock. Overall wheel travel is important but is sometime thought to be the only reason for a custom setup, there is so much more to it. Without getting into and engineering lecture, a custom suspension system should:
1.Correct/ modify suspension geometry for high speed Off-road use
2. Substantially add strength to steering, control arms, upright, and pivot points. (The frame and attachment points also need to be addressed to maintain a strength integrity balance)
3. Add overall and progressive dampening
4. Increase wheel travel
